Case Study: “Rita”

Rita was referred to Apollo.Law by a local charity. Her landlord had commenced eviction proceedings in the ACAT.

Rita’s situation was desperate. A single mum, she was unable to work due to both COVID and disability. In the face of homelessness, she was struggling to cope.

John provided 15 hours of pro bono tribunal advocacy to Rita, working hand in hand with the charity that referred her. John was able to delay Rita’s eviction, and assemble her submissions to enunciate a crossclaim against the landlord. The charity found Rita and her daughter a new home at the 11th hour.

During 2021 Apollo.Law has accepted many referrals like Rita’s from local charities.
