My late father’s cousin says the will is fake
I thought this could only happen to other people. Dad had a long, happy, and honest life. Mum had died a few years before him, aged 92. Dad’s will was simple, he split everything evenly between my two sisters and I. The funeral was well-attended, and our grief was turning into acceptance.
Then Dad’s cousin Max sent us an email out of the blue. Said that the signatures on dad’s will were fake, and that he had a handwriting expert to prove it. Demanded $25,000 as his share of the will.
We thought about paying Max just to make him go away, especially when another lawyer quoted us $17,000 to defend the claim. Then we spoke to Apollo.Law.
